Company Profile

The Eastern Coal Council was created in 1979 to bring the coal producers and coal consumers
together -- to build a bridge from Appalachian coalfields to every nation around the world that is
or has the potential of being a consumer of Appalachia coal. The Council has worked toward
improving the coal industry image by educating the general public as to the importance of coal
throughout the Eastern United States.
